I think this is really sad because he never gets to grow. I think that it sad becuase when he was a baby he was in the ocean and there was food in the ocean. Then there was this piece of plastic and and when he was a baby, that plastic went around his stomach and then he started to get bigger. He couldn't grow because of that plastic and that's why I think that is so sad:( -Bianca

I think he feels bad about having this plastic on his body because when he wants to eat more then he can eat he will feel pressure and maybe he will die. If someone wants to take this off, maybe the turtle will die and he never had more food then he can have. I think this is so sad too, because this turtle never will be able to grow more then he can grow. That is why I never want the people to throw the trash in the ocean. Yo pinso que hace muchos anos paso de la tortuga cuando andaba rodiando y se pego la plastico de un yoguet, ando por muchos anos crecio la panza y luego no se despego andaba asi.
Que de chica la tortuga nadava por el oceano y se le atoro un plastico e iva cresiendo con el plastico atorado y despues unas personas que la miraron querian quitqrselo pero no podian y asi se lo dejaron. Que debemos cuidar el oceano y no contaminarlo por eso hay muchas especies en pekigro de extincion. NADIA
This picture also makes me feel bad that it is human activity that has caused this poor turtle to suffer. Humans create so many problems for animals and their habitats, yet the animals are helpless to stop these terrible things from happening. This is a very sad picture to see, but it is just one of many. This turtle is lucky to be alive. Thousands of animals--if not more--die each year from polluted and contaminated habitats. As the smartest and most capable species on this planet, we need to start doing more to protect and conserve wildlife, and less to harm it.
