This week we read a narrative nonfiction piece about a boy named Max who helps rescue an endangered sea turtle on a beach in his community. The following comments are student reflections about what they would do if they found a sea turtle on the beach.

If I saw a cold,stunned turtle washed up on the sea I would make sure it is OK.Then I would feed them and help it regain its strength.Once the turtle is healthy I would let it free back into the ocean,I hope it will visit me soon!

If I saw a cold,stunned turtle washed up on the beach,I would care for it.I would care for it by taking it to the vet.On our way to the vet I would put a blanket on it to keep it warm.Once we get to the vet I would stay there until I know whats wrong.Then,I would go to the beach and release it.

If I found a cold stunned turtle I would grab it and then call the sea turtle rescue line.I would wait for them to come to rescue the turtle. While I wait I would put towels under the turtle.Then when they come I will leave it to them.That's what I will do. Alfredo made this post.
If I saw a turtle in danger I would grab it and take it to the vet.I would tell them to check him to see if his alive or dead.And I would keep him in my house and keep him in fresh water. then after a while i would take him back!!

if i found a stranded turtle i will call someone like a doctor.but we have to wait for a boat to come.I would rape it in a towel.Then when they came they took the turtle and take care of it.when they put a band on it they will take it to the hotel that cares sea turtles in pool.

If I found a cold,stunned turtle what I would do first would be to see if was sick.Then I would take it to the vet.Then the vet would look for it's heartbeat. After that is over then they would put it in warm water so it survives.

If I found a cold stunned turtle that wahsed up on shore I would call the animal rescue center.They would see if it was heathly or if it needs alot of help.If it is heathly they would help it swim.Then they would put it outto shallow waters.
I would take it to a vet. Then I would see if it was hurt anywhere. Then I would heal it. Then I would take it to a secret island. Last i will set it free.

One day i was walking on the beach. I was walking when i saw a cold turtle. Hes temperature was 59 degrees. I will feed him and make him better so he can swim. I would see if he is better so i can let it go to the ocean. so long buddy.

if i found a stunned turtle i would take it to the vet, but first i would find towels and wrap it up so it can be warm. next i would drive to the vet with the heater on. when we are finally at the the vet i would stay until i know it is ok by Alicia
If I saw a turtle in the beach,I would help it. I would see if it was hurt. If it was I would take it to the vet. I would wait until it was okay and I would take it back to the beach.

it is a sad story about a parallelepiped turtle washed up on a beach where someone could step on it!!! we need to save them for danger!!!!!!
